Translation Academy

Translation Atelier

Graduates of either the Regular or the Special Course are eligible to apply for the Translation Atelier. By participating in the regular workshops, members of the Translator Atelier are able to hone their skills and produce high-quality translations as professional translators of Korean literature.

Translation Atelier
Languages	English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese
Duration	One-year program (2 semesters): Spring Semester: April ~ June /Autumn Semester: September ~ December ※The course begins in April. The entire course takes 14 weeks to complete (7 weeks per semester). Three-hour fortnightly seminars (09:00~22:00 during weekdays)
Curriculum	Individual translation projects to be submitted for LTI Korea translation grants Workshops in each language
Tuition	Waived
Registration fee	Waived

How to Apply

Translation Atelier
Eligibility	- For students who took the year-long Special Course after 2019, only the graduates of Advanced Course are eligible to apply. - Researchers in related fields
Admissions	Around 4 applicants for each language
Selection process	Application → Translation Test → Interview [Trnaslation test(example)]
Application Documents	Application form (prescribed format), cover letter (prescribed format)
