Eligibility

Overseas universities offering Korean language or Korean literature programs

  • Must have instructors capable of supervising Korean literature translation practice
  • Must be able to operate translation practice classes for at least one semester

  • Grant amount (KRW) will be determined based on a comprehensive consideration of seminar frequency, program details, local cost of living, etc.
  • The grant will be paid in two installments: Advance Payment (80%) and Post-payment (20%). Once determined, the grant amount cannot be increased.
  • The workshop must conclude its operations by October 24, 2026.

Eligible Programs

  • (Required) Korean literature translation seminar
  • (Required) Invited lectures by authors / experts
  • (Required) Special lectures on translation, Korean literature / content, etc.
  • (Optional) Translation contests, reading sessions, Korean cultural experience programs, etc.
  • ※ Seminars must involve translating Korean literary works from Korean into the local language

  • Project Plan (LTI Korea format; in Korean or English)
  • Grant Budget Breakdown (LTI Korea format)
  • CVs and Self-Introduction Letters (free format; in Korean or English)
  • ※ Submitted documents will not be returned.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Capacity of the university (level of Korean studies, Korean language proficiency of participants, participation of master's/doctoral students, etc.) and experience of the supervising professor
  • Specificity and excellence of the project plan (whether it involves translating Korean literary works from Korean into the local language, etc.)
  • Rationality and appropriateness of budget allocation
  • Expected project outcomes and feasibility of implementation (for previously selected institutions: evaluation results of past projects)

  • * Final report must be submitted within 40 days from the project end date (must be submitted by November 15, 2026 at the latest).
    * The final report must include: ① Details of grant expenditure and evidence ② Participant satisfaction survey ③ Translation outputs ④ Photographs.
