LTI Korea is pleased to present the 2026 Seoul International Writers’ Festival under the theme “Who are we?”
This year’s festival takes the everyday question “Who are you?” and expands it into a broader inquiry into the identities of individuals and communities. At a time when artificial intelligence and non-human beings have emerged as major topics of discussion, the festival invites us to explore what it means to be human and the role literature can play in this changing world.
A total of 24 writers—14 from Korea and 10 from around the world—will take part in a diverse range of programs, including one-on-one conversations between Korean and international writers, conversations between writers and translators, and interactive workshops.
* Korean Writers: Kang Min-young, Kim Mella, Kim Ae-ran, Kim Hyo-eun, Ji Hyuck Moon, Park Kun-woong, Shin Lee-in, Ahn Boyun, Yeh Soyeon, Lee Seung-u, Lee Heejoo, Jung Yong-jun, Jaewon Che, Hwang Jungeun
* International Writers: Beatrice Alemagna (Italy), Chen Xue (Taiwan), Damon Galgut (South Africa), Keiichiro Hirano (Japan), Benjamín Labatut (Chile), John Langan (United States), Silvia Moreno-Garcia (Canada), Uljana Wolf (Germany), Emily Jungmin Yoon (Canada), Zhou Jian-xin (Taiwan)
All programs are free of charge and require advance reservations.
We look forward to your interest and participation.
