2026 LTI Korea Outstanding Service Award


The application process for the “2026 LTI Korea Outstanding Service Award” has begun.

Since it was established in 2013,

LTI Korea Outstanding Service Award has honored a person or an organization that has made a major contribution to the dissemination and promotion of Korean Literature abroad.

We accept recommendations from overseas cultural centers and institutions at home and abroad.



Eligibility

The steering committee of LTI Korea Translation Award selects a recipient. The following standards will be used to evaluate nominees: translation-related awards received in the past; research activities taken for the globalization of Korean literature; participation in exchange activities; accomplishments in developing talent in the fields of Korean studies and Korean literature abroad. (Applicants should describe their contribution to Korean literature in relation to the aforementioned selection criteria.)


Outline

  • A prize of KRW 5 million will be given to the winner.
  • The following “Requirements” must be submitted via email in PDF format from April 1st to May 31st 2026(KST).
  • The name, title, and contract information of the nominee/a contact person at the nominated organization, as well as the nominator’s name, address, phone number, and email address, must all be included in the nomination.

※ The winners of LTI Korea Oustanding Service Award are ineligibel to win LTI Korea Translation Award.


Requirements

In the order listed below, please provide the following papers.

  1. 2026 LTI Korea Outstanding Service Award_Recommendation Form(Attached)
  2. A PDF compilation of the nominee’s work in the fields of Korean literature and Korean studies.
    (Translation-related awards received in the past; research activities taken for the globalization of Korean literature, participation in exchange activities, and accomplishments in developing talent in the fields of Korean studies and Korean literature abroad)

※ The required documents must be submitted to newtranslators@klti.or.kr


Schedule for the Selection Process

  • Application Due Date: April 1st to May 31st 2026 (KST)
  • Award Ceremony: December 2026
    (The winner(s) will receive individual notifications with additional information.)
